Pinterest Allows Users to Search their Own Pins
If you have ever struggled to find the old photographs that you had previously pinned to Pinterest yourself, the photo sharing website has a new feature that it has added that is designed to make your life a little bit easier from this point forward.
It's very simple. After you type your query into Pinterest's search bar, but before you actually enter your search, you can choose whether you want to search "All pins" or "Just my pins" using a couple of checkboxes. The new feature works by looking for your keyword in all of the pin descriptions you've made.
So, if you haven't been adding good descriptions to your pins and you want to easily search what you have pinned in the past, now might be a good time to start.
Why would you want to search only what you've pinned? Let's say you pinned a bunch of delicious looking recipes a few weeks ago. Instead of having to search through all other pins for "shrimp scampi," you can now search for only the ones that you've actually pinned. In short, the change will make your activity on Pinterest more meaningful in the long-term.
Pinterest says that the change is being rolled out right now, though they only say that it will be coming to mobile devices "soon."
What Else Do Pinterest Users Want?
The response to the change on Pinterest's Facebook page has been very positive so far, with users also mentioning their appreciation for a recent change that gives them a notification when they pin something they've already pinned in the past. But what other features are Pinterest users looking for? Judging from the most popular comments on their Facebook page, the list includes:
- A quick way to automatically delete all duplicate pins
- Bringing back the "Originally pinned by" tag
- The ability to rearrange pins within a board
- Sub-boards that exist below primary boards
- The ability to add tags to pins, outside the description field
If you're a Pinterest user, what new features would you like to see added to the site?

Rearrange Pins?? Does anyone know if Pinterest has implemented or plans to implement any of the above mentioned requests from their users? Mainly, the ability to rearrange pins within a board. That seems like it would be quite simple to do. I actually thought at one time that feature existed, but I guess not.
